Coffee Talk

During the week in Clitheroe, depending on the wind direction there’s a wonderful smell of freshly roasting coffee wafting through the streets. That smell originates from our specialist coffee roasters down on Wellgate at Exchange Coffee. The multi award winning team supply many of the county’s finest eating establishments with quality, own roasted and blended coffees, as well as wide variety of tea’s and fruit/herb infusions. The shop is always very busy whether it be a customer; waiting for a take out Mocha, perusing the vast array of coffees and teas to purchase or seated indulging in a coffee and cake for elevenses with friends. They also have two shops in Blackburn, one in Skipton, a coffee bar in Todmordens Market and a coffee van for hot take aways drinks which will be found within the main food festival producer area on festival day!

Always a popular talk, Mark Smith, founder of Exchange Coffee Company, will take you through the journey of the coffee bean, explain how the geography of each coffee growing region affects the flavour, how to brew the perfect coffee and this year, have ample opportunity to discuss how to select coffee for the perfect occasion as the talk is given on site at Exchange Coffee’s new tasting room.

Please note this talk will last a minimim of 45 minutes, there are three flights of stairs at the coffee shop, with no access lift.
