Treacle toffee sweetness with hints of lemon and lime. 2 Star Great Taste Award Winner.£2.95
- Region:Minais Gerais
- Variety:Yellow and Red Catuai 144, Topazio
Winner of a 2 star Great Taste Award in 2017.
Grown by an innovative farm that is formerly a Cup of Excellence winner, located in close proximity to the National Park of Chapada Diamantina. At altitudes of up to 1250 metres above sea level, the coffee is carefully hand picked. The ripe cherries are separated and naturally pulped, processed and sun dried on patios. On the palate it has a medium body that is creamy, almost like a fruit and nut chocolate bar. The fruit flavours progress into citrus, with lemon and lime being the most prominent. At the end there is a molasses-like, treacle toffee finish. A real all rounder in terms of brewing, suitable for most methods.
Winner of a two star Great Taste Award in 2017 in the espresso category and a one star in the filter/cafetiere category, we like to serve it in a cafetiere with milk for breakfast or as a Flat White. Adding milk to this coffee in either brewing method enhances the creamy mouthfeel and brings the chocolate flavours to the fore.
