Finca Buena Esperanza sits within a unique mountain valley in the Matagalpa region of central Nicaragua, a region that is renowned for quality coffee and agricultural capabilities. The farm has a large diversity of flora and fauna as well as a rich variety of microclimates due to the vaired ecosystems that span the land. These include rainforests, valleys, rivers and natural springs which in addition to the warm climate and fertile soils create ideal conditions for coffee growing. In the cup there are some wonderful notes of cocoa, offset with the tang of red plum and grape and a hint of spice to finish. Suitable for all brewing methods, but particularly good for cafetiere or filter.
