Finca Serbia is located in Municipio El Congo in the region of Santa Ana. It was established as a coffee plantation in the 1930s as a family business. Grown at 1000 metres above sea level, the farm is almost completely planted with coffee under natural shade trees such as cedar and oak. The combination of high altitude and volcanic rich soil produce a wonderful coffee with a real depth in flavour. Starting off with deep rich cocoa notes and a suggestion of almonds, a fruity acidity follows reminiscent of apricots. Suitable for all brewing methods, but the full bodied nature of the coffee means that cafetiere is a sure fire winner.
