Ethiopia Kochere Washing Station

A classic example of a washed Yirgacheffe from the renowned Kochere Washing Station. In the Yirgacheffe region coffee is typically grown on a very small scale, usually in the garden of the producer intercropped with other subsistence crops. The beans are incredibly well processed at the washing station in Chelelektu town and are a wonderfully deep blue green colour before roasting. A mouth-wateringly complex brew best served black and brewed in a filter or cafetiere but also makes a flavoursome and intriguing espresso.
Winner of a 1 Star Great Taste Award in the Espresso category. The judges said it was "distinct, pronounced and delicious."
