The municipality of San Agustin is located in the southern corner of Colombia in the Huila department close the the most important river in Colombia: the Rio Magdelana. The coffee grown in this remote region of Colombia is different from other plantations which offer higher yields. It is grown under shade at high altitude and picked by hand. The farmers consider their trade an art form and have passed it on through the generations. All of this care and attention in growing results in a smooth, medium bodied coffee with dark chocolate notes and citric finish. Medium roasted to just before the second crack helps bring out these flavours, especially when brewed in a cafetiere, filter or Aeropress.
