Harvested between December and February at altitudes between 1,200 and 2,000 above sea level in the rich soils of the Tarrazu mountains south of San Jose. Known as the Area of the Saints, Tarrazu is considered to grow the best Strictly Hard Bean coffee in Costa Rica due to a combination of rich volcanic soil, high altitude and climate. Sourced from small farms in the region, San Rafael exemplifies a classic Costa Rica taste profile. A wonderfully deep floral aroma is followed by a vibrant lemon acidity and complemented by a smooth finish. Perfect for cafetiere and filter throughout the day.
