This organically grown Peruvian coffee comes from small producers in the centrally located Chanchamayo valley which is one of the major coffee growing areas in Peru. The coffee is shade grown at altitudes of over 1350 meters above sea level, this produces a denser bean (SHB stands for Strictly Hard Bean) and more complex flavours, a result of fruit’s slow maturation process on the plant. With a medium body, this well balanced coffee has notes of chocolate, caramel and nuts, followed by a soft citrus finish reminiscent of clementines and a floral aroma. A real all rounder suitable for most brewing processes and all day drinking.
