Description

For centuries Java has been known as the spice island and the delicate spice notes in this coffee reflect that. This is an aged coffee, designed to emulate the inadvertent maturation of green coffee that was exported from Java on sailing ships in the 18^th and 19^th centuries. Similar to Monsoon Malabar, but aged for much longer periods of time. In some cases for as long as 6 years. This turns the normally green bean into a light brown colour. A smooth earthiness makes this a unique coffee with very little acidity and hints of spice and tobacco.
